Dressed in traditional attire with a horn, lantern, and halberd, he'll guide you through tales of werewolves, demons, mummies, ghosts, and the Grim Reaper. Near the ruins of the Franciscan Monastery stands the Parochial Church, once home to a crypt where Berliners practiced voluntary mummification. Legend has it that mummies still reside there. Learn about medieval Berliners' encounters with death from the Night Watchman's engaging stories, including the arrest of a witch by an executioner, a reminder of one of Germany's darkest chapters.
