Mount Etna: Excursion to the Summit Craters from Etna Sud

Climb Mount Etna and exploring its active craters

Description

Most excursions on Mount Etna stop at the Silvestri Craters, at relatively low altitude – but with this exclusive tour, you can reach the top of the highest active volcano in Europe with a dedicated volcanologist guide. Take a cable car and 4WD to Torre del Filosofo, 2900 meters above the ground, and continue on foot for approximately 3 km until you reach the summit craters. Your expert guide will share the history of the volcano with you, so you can learn the story of Mount Etna while you admire the moon-like landscape stretching out to the coast.
