See the Leaning Tower of Pisa up close after navigating the lively streets of Pisa. This structure is the bell tower for the nearby Pisa Cathedral. In Piazza dei Miracoli, you can view both the tower and the cathedral.
Entering the piazza, first see the Leaning Tower. This area is known as the 'Square of Miracles' for its historical significance. The Leaning Tower, with its initial unstable foundation and later used by the Nazis, continues to stand today despite its tumultuous past.
Once you have viewed the marble exterior of the Tower of Pisa and taken some popular "holding up the tower" photos, climb the tilted campanile. At the top, enjoy wide views of the surrounding area.
