Embark on an adventure from Querétaro to the breathtaking Tolantongo Caves, one of Hidalgo's hidden natural wonders. Within the mountains, is a waterfall hiding a cave and a the grotto below, creating a unique turquoise thermal river. The river's captivating color comes from the calcium and magnesium particles gifted by the surrounding rocks. The river creates numerous natural pools that you are able to swim in, as well as a section known as "Las Pocitas", featuring shallow, man-made formations. To reach this spot, hop on the provided transport or take a scenic 25 min walk along the trail. Here, you'll discover a pool with a slide, a hanging bridge, another water-filled cave, and a zip line. Please note, the zip line experience is available for an additional fee.
