It is a historic church and convent with more than 700 years of history. Construction of the convent began in 1271. It was built to house 50 Augustinian hermit friars and was sponsored by King Afonso III. According to tradition, an image of Our Lady of Grace appeared in Cascais in 1362, discovered in a fisherman’s net and brought to the convent the following day. The Church of Our Lady of Grace is part of the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Graça, one of the largest convent complexes in Lisbon. It features a large Serlian-style cloister, a chapter room completed in 1724, a sacristy built in the early 18th century, a second cloister from the same period, and an entrance and bell tower, both completed around 1738, designed by Manuel da Costa Negreiros.Whats Included
