Lisbon: Taylor’s Port – Wine Shop & Tasting Room
Description
Sample some of the best port in Lisbon – it's a cultural experience!
Visit Taylor’s Port, one of Portugal’s oldest Port wine producers, founded in 1692. Located in Alfama near the historic Chafariz d’El Rei, the Wine Shop & Tasting Room offers a guided tasting of three Port wines. You'll try the Chip Dry Extra Dry White, created in the 1930s, the Late Bottled Vintage (LBV) from the 1970s, and a 10-year-old Tawny aged in oak casks.
The tasting includes a pastel de nata, a traditional Portuguese custard tart. Learn the differences between Tawny, Ruby, Rosé, and White Ports, and explore over 300 years of winemaking history.
